About Isaac

Hometown: Burlington, KY

School: Graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2014

Growing up, I was not really raised in the church. I believed if you were a good person and did the “right” thing, then you were good to go. I had a skewed view of who was and it wasn't until my senior year of high school that one of our soccer coaches began to share the truth of who Christ was and how I could have a relationship with Jesus. Romans 6:23 had a major impact on how I viewed myself before a perfect and Holy God. I have done nothing to deserve His grace and mercy, but through His son, He has given me new life in Christ. About two weeks before I went to EKU is when the Lord truly opened my eyes, and that is when I desired a longing to actually know God and his character.

I got involved with Campus Outreach shortly after arriving at EKU. A man by the name of Blake Buckman poured out his life for me and did whatever it took to reveal more of Christ’s character to me. He challenged me in weekly discipleship groups to memorize scripture and pray for my friends to know Christ. He taught me how to share the Gospel in a wholesome and winsome way with friends, family, and strangers. I became a true disciple by doing life alongside Blake. Soon after graduation, I married my wife Faith, who went to Georgetown College and was involved with Campus Outreach there. The Lord has brought us both to love the college campus and the opportunity it affords us to share the Gospel in a dense population of the leaders of the next generation.

We have been on staff with Campus Outreach since 2015 and spent four years at Northern Kentucky University. Now we are serving at the University of Cincinnati and have been on the campus since the Spring of 2019.
